CONSTRUCTION LABORER – Destin, FL
Description:
Farrow Contracting, Inc. (“Farrow”) is looking for Construction Laborers to perform a wide range of manual tasks at construction sites. Your duties include loading and unloading building materials, arranging and organizing tools, equipment’s, and materials on-site and removing debris and daily cleanup. This is an entry position to get your foot in the door in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites, tools, and materials
- Assist with transporting, loading, and unloading of building materials, equipment and tools
- Clean construction site, remove debris, and organize unused materials, tools and equipment’s
- Demolish structures based on health and safety protocols
- Provide assistance to other field personnel i.e., carpenters, tile setters, bricklayers, masons, electricians, and plumbers
- Operate light machinery and power tools
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs
- Ability to bend over
- Ability to be on knees
- Ability to work within confined spaces
- Ability to comprehend instructions and follow safety guidelines
- Ability to multi-task

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER – Destin, FL
Description:
Farrow Contracting, Inc. (“Farrow”) is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate municipalities and agencies
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Supervise the project from start to finish
- Approve invoices to appropriate project
- Evaluate progress and prepare daily detailed reports
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience as construction project manager
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, and Projects
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT – Destin, FL
Description:
Farrow Contracting, Inc. (“Farrow”) is looking for an experienced construction superintendent to manage our projects. You’ll supervise our staff and ensure projects are delivered on time. As a superintendent, your job duties will also include allocating and monitoring budgets. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects and engineers. In order to succeed, it’s important to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite. If you are organized, able to work well under pressure and have experience in this field, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs
- Set performance goals and deadlines
- Plan construction processes
- Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget
- Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities
- Implement safety and quality guidelines
- Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance
- Keep track of material stock and orders
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
- Create daily reports and logs
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines for construction job sites, building codes, and bmps
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
- Able to read all plan sets from architectural, structural, mep, and civil
- Proficiency in MS Office, Buildertrend or similar, (computer proficient required)
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lead and inspire
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Assistant Superintendent (preferred)
